Overview
In the late afternoon hours, we set out in search of fish that dwell on the bottom. We will use the traditional and well-known Bolentino technique, keeping the boat positioned precisely over the desired spot with the help of a new electric motor connected to the fishfinder and GPS.
The targeted fish belong to the seabream family and have an average weight of 100-450g. We use squid and shrimp as bait.
As the sun sets behind the horizon, we move to a squid fishing spot, where we can continue using the same technique for another 40 minutes.
When darkness falls, we will turn on a reflector with a blue light, which will attract squid under the boat, while small fish and plankton gather in the middle of the water column and on the surface.
For squid fishing, we use artificial lures that closely resemble the fish and plankton found beneath the boat and near the bottom.
