We leave the bay, pass the island of Mamula, and then head into the open sea, into the endless blue. The boat will remain stationary directly above the reef with the help of an electric motor connected via sonar and GPS, significantly increasing the chances of catching fish.

We will be fishing at a depth of over 100 meters, at a reef full of coral, which is rich in small blue fish (Atlantic and horse mackerel, sardines) that attract tuna, swordfish, and mahi-mahi.

We throw pieces of sardines into the sea as bait, releasing blood that attracts predators. At the same time, we monitor the activity on the fishfinder, allowing us to see in real time whether a fish is approaching the boat.

While waiting for tuna, we can use the Bolentino technique to catch other fish around the reef and from the bottom.
